The iPhone/iTouch Dev guys have been hard at work for weeks and have finally managed to jailbreak 1.1.1. Right now, they're nowhere near releasing a general-use tool but the first steps have been made.

Despite Apple's efforts to keep the iPhone locked down, we are now seeing the first release of a native game (ie. not played through the iPhone Safari browser) that can be installed with it's own icon in the iPhone interface. Installing it however, is a bit tricky.
