"Bustling" would be a gross disservice to just how quickly Shanghai moves. Businessmen, barhoppers, street salesmen, tourists, children, parents, students. They move fast, in a city that is only accelerating.
On Thursday, January 16th, we visited the Summer Palace and the Forbidden City. It is an almost surreal experience driving to these sites.
After a fourteen hour flight from LAX to Shanghai, and a two hour domestic flight, we landed in Beijing in the early morning of Thursday, January 16th.
