John McCain's lack of foreign policy experienceSource: Slate
He said Sunni and Shi'a had no history of violent disagreement. He said he didn't know if he'd talk to the Prime Minister of one of our allies (Spain). He egged on Georgia's Saakashvili, promising the US would back him up. He said Al-Qaeda was training in Iran.

John McCain Linked To Bill Ayers!Source: YouTube
Rudy Giuliani's attempt to link Barack Obama to Rashid Khalidi falls flat, when in the end, he ends up linking his boy John McCain... to William Ayers! Turns out McCain made a generous donation to Mr. Khalidi. Oops!
In defence of Rashid Khalidi and John McCainSource: Guardian Unlimited
I have been moved to fury by Gov. Palin's hysterical attacks on Obama's "ties" to Rashid Khalidi (whose name she is apparently unable to properly pronounce).
An 'Idiot Wind' : McCain's Latest Attempt to tie Obama to Extremists Source: The Washington Post
We don't agree with a lot of what Mr. Khalidi has had to say about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict over the years, and Mr. Obama has made clear that he doesn't, either. But to compare the professor to neo-Nazis -- or even to Mr. Ayers -- is a vile smear.

The latest in embarrassing episodes about to explode on the McCain campaign is that the person he is criticizing Obama for associating with is someone McCain funded to the tune of half a million dollars through a group that he chaired.

This is a video of a lecture by professor Rashid Khalidi. As you can see there is nothing nefarious discussed, nothing radical. He just speaks of the situation that Palestine is in. He is not the monster that the Mccain campaign has tried to make him out to be.

The McCain campaign continues to drive home the Ayers issue in hopes to raise eyebrows enough to make a difference in his rival's poll numbers. But harder to understand is why McCain's relentless focus on Ayers? Aren't there more important underlying issues here?
