
Every day for about the past week I've been receiving emails from friends and others with a clever little political twist to them. Just got another one a few minutes ago. At first I thought, as with most viral emails, the thing was a joke. But it does seem to be real.

My folks just returned from a trip to Alaska. I asked if they had seen any Bald Eagles. Dad laughed and said, "Hell, they're like seagulls out there." It's sad to think of this fierce, proud symbol of U.S patriotism as a common scavenger from The Land of The Midnight Sun.
