METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich, who angered many fans by waging a high-profile battle with Napster in 2000 over illegal music downloading, admitted in a recent interview that he has also used the Internet to obtain a full album's worth of music without paying for it.

After one listen of Death Magnetic, it is safe to say that Metallica has lost its direction. If we assume Metallica was on an evolutionary path, St. Anger was a departure from that path and Death Magnetic is a return to the middle of the path.

The drummer of rock band Metallica has welcomed an internet leak of their new album, ahead of its release next week.
Speaking on San Francisco radio station Live 105, Lars Ulrich said: "If this thing leaks all over the world today or tomorrow, happy days."
