On August 15th I announced the resurrection of an old favorite, the Last Viner Standing contest. It generated some discussion, we came up with some ground rules and Calvin chimed in and offered some prizes from Newsvine.
I'd like to bring the first Last Viner Standing competition to a close. I had a few favorites and I hope you did as well - I'll be damned if I'm going to crawl through damn near 700 comments to find them, though.
Maybe I am just in grumpy old man mode, but doesn't this contest seem a bit counter-productive? It seems that a lot of the articles coming out of this contest are articles discussing little things about Newsvine, usually meaningless things.
