
The short version: MacHeist is a steeply discounted bundle of popular Mac OS X software titles. This year's bundle is available (as of 03-26-09) for another 12 days and currently includes $627 worth of software for $39.

So why is Flying Meat participating in MacHeist time around, when I blasted it a couple of years ago? Well, it's pretty simple. The folks at MacHeist fixed the payment terms after MacHeist 1, and developers are getting a much better deal now. Tada.

Mac users love their apps, there is no doubt about it. There are sites out there dedicated to finding and posting hundreds of mac apps or updates a day and we eat it up. Also, there are several groups that take this process a bit farther.

Being a mac user, I'm a huge fan of John Gruber's blog, Daring Fireball. I follow his work pretty closely, and probably seed more content to Newsvine after discovering it through DF than he should be comfortable with. (I'm not stalking, I'm appreciating.)
