After two quick breakfasts (one unexpected and free) I began the walk Grant Park under the summer sun with colleague Viki Gonia.
Since it's officially (been) summer (for over a month now) it's also officially time for another seasonal playlist. For those who haven't been keeping track at home every season I make a playlist that epitomizes the feeling inspired by that time of year.
The jingling bells are fading, wrapping paper is lining wastebaskets instead of gifts, and 2007 is coming to a close. As much as we'd like to keep Christmastime from slipping into wintertime all things pass and the seasons do not stop rolling.
Last winter I started a project in which I explored a season through music. I made playlists for each season filled with the music that really put me a mood matching each time of year.
As December of 2006 approached I began to think back on the year in music. I struggled to come up with albums released that year that I really and truly appreciated.
