Edmonton Oilers coach Craig MacTavish was fined $10,000 US Saturday by the NHL for criticizing referee Mick McGeough for a blown call in the Oilers' 3-2 home loss to the Dallas Stars on Friday night.

The Edmonton Oilers were denied the tying goal after a phantom hand pass call in the final seconds. Dallas went on to a 3-2 win Friday night at Rexall Place. Ryan Smyth and Petr Sykora scored for Edmonton.
