The rookie from Michigan State helped his chances to become Tom Brady's primary backup by throwing for one touchdown and leading three drives that ended with BenJarvus Green-Ellis rushing for scores.

The Midshipmen are 21 ½ point underdogs to the highest ranked Big Ten team. For the Buckeyes, Terrelle Pryor is expected to be the focal point of the offense.

I finished with a 3-2 record last week as Wisconsin and Indiana showed some life and upset Illinois and Northwestern. One thing that accomplished besides ruining my picks was creating more separation within the conference standings.

Last weekend was the start of separation in the Big Ten, and i think this week will symbolically be the end of it. I called the games 5-0 last week as everything went down how I thought it would for the most part.

I managed a 4-2 record last week. One of those missed picks was the upset of Michigan by MAC basement dweller Toledo. How embarrassing.

Last week was the week, I picked a perfect slate of games in the Big Ten, even the Illinois upset of Michigan. Although even before the game, I didn't think it would be much of an upset of Illinois won. Hopefully I can carry that success over to this week.

Wow, what a week 5 for the Big Ten. Either Michigan showed that it still has some pluck this year, or Wisconsin showed that it has no business fighting for the Big Ten title, or maybe both.

I finished with a not-so-good 5-3 record last week, none of my upsets connected, and Indiana fell to Ball State. We'll see if I can change that win percentage this first week of conference play.

Well, I called the games 10-0 last week, although I was off on the point spreads. The USC-OSU game was essentially decided after RB Chris Wells was deemed out due to a previous injury by Jim Tressel.

I managed a record of 10-1 last week, missing out on my upset pick of Bowling Green over Minnesota. This week I'm going to post the odds along with my predictions and see if I can not only pick the winners, but if they'll beat the line.

I went 8-2 last week picking games. My first wrong pick was MSU, apparently I overestimated Brian Hoyer's ability to find a receiver, and for the defense to stop big plays. I also underestimated Minnesota, slightly. Let's see if I can get them all right this week.

Well, another 5-1 week, I guess it's a better record to keep having than 4-2. Michigan barely squeaked by in East Lansing against the "We can't finish a game" Spartans of Michigan State.

Well, we're sitting here at week 9 with the usual suspects sitting atop the conference standings. Now we just have to see if the Buckeyes and Wolverines can remain unbeaten in Big Ten play until the final game of the regular season when they meet at the Big House in Ann Arbor.

Michigan State at Wisconsin(9). One thing's for sure, after the match-up between these two unbeaten teams, one will no longer be unbeaten (homage to John Madden). The Spartans have to drop a couple eventually this season, and I think this will be the first.

Well, my Spartans keep on winning, although the manner in which they are winning is a little disconcerting. The win last week over Pitt was a little too close, and a lot too ugly.

Pittsburgh at Michigan State. Both teams come into this matchup with 2-0 records. I have a feeling that MSU will have an easier time dealing with the Panthers than they did the Falcons of BGSU in week 2.

Well, I finished with an 9-2 record this week. My upset pick did not pan out. And I'm more than happy to see Michigan lose and give me a loss on my predictions.

Since the NFL prediction angle seems pretty much covered, I thought I might as well make some NCAA predictions.

The optimistic Spartan fan might have envisioned tomorrow's showdown with Michigan as a battle of unbeatens before the season began. The superfans might have even seen this as a game with two-way national title implications.
