Today winsomecowboy and I are joined by Mykola Bilokonsky, kymlee, Ryan Stolte-Sawa, and even Walt D and rwarner for a bit, by phone.

In a dark alleyway somewhere in Seattle, behind a very green building overgrown with vines, it was recently decided that Newsvine should have its own match-making/dating/sex service, based on wildly popular demand.

And by "big time," I mean we're entering the world of the mainstream media.

Liberals and progressives love to tell us how important it is that we celebrate diversity in our country and its institutions. But for many of them, that does not include diversity of opinion.

So to epiphany sorbet and to everyone else who seeds @!$%# like this - please, stop. All you're doing is attempting to dehumanize people so that you can put them into your preconceived mold.
If I seed something, it does not mean that I stand for it.

One thing that stuck me as interesting, is that Cash informed me on the way back that the other Vinemeet attendees were quite nervous to meet each other. Kymlee's recent post confirms this, where she writes,

Perhaps it was the truckload of folks who stopped next to me at a red light and delightedly called out "Hey Jesus! What's up, man?" Perhaps it was my inability to eat ice cream without having my hair and beard smell like old milk for the rest of the day.

You all know who he is.

Ok, here's the deal. Last week I posted this article to sort of introduce this contest, so let me flesh it out here.
Here are the rules (UPDATED!):

Brian Ford's retrospective started with a reference to Mykola Bilokonsky's retrospective requesting that all members do their own retrospectives. Never one to shy away from self-congratulatory exercises, my eyes lit up with thrilled glee.

Inspired by Mykola Bilokonsky and Brian Ford and Walt D, and Eric Atienza I have decided to look over my own past year here on Newsvine.

Mykola Bilokonsky's Retrospective: A Year and Change was capped off with a call for other members to write similar retrospectives about their own best work.

So I meant to do this on my one-year-anniversary here on newsvine, but I forgot. I've spent a lot of time here and I've contributed a lot of verbiage, but I think some was more worth reading than others. Here's a short list of the contributions of which I'm most proud.

The Newsvine Team is proud to announce that Aine MacDermot and Mykola Bilokonsky have been selected to receive Newsvine's highest honor, the Random Act of Vineness Award - for contributions to this community that go far beyond the call of duty.

I spent much of last year focused on things outside the Vine. But this year, I turned to my column with renewed excitement and vigor, ready to light up the Vine with dazzling articles and inspirational stories.

The tenth in the continuing series of Campaign Articles.

Recently Mykola Bilokonsky posted an Article that allowed us to use the Political Compass Quiz to gauge our political position both economically (Left/Right), and socially (Libertarian/Authoritarian).

Vine Seeders Episode 11 - June 9th, 2006
Well we were finally able to get everyone together for our first "Roundtabe"
style Vine Seeders. It was out first crack at it, but I thought it went great
and we plan on making it a semi regular event.
My guests this time were:

So we've got all sorts of swank new features, and I felt that this warranted a renewed statement of just who the hell I am and what I'm about (complete with a new photograph, which I am contemplating changing back to something more evil).

Following the upcoming debate between Adam Hobson and Djehuty re: economic policy, look forward to a Tangle about Hugo Chavez and the Bolivarian Revolution.
