The Akaka Bill, aka Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act of 2007, is opposed by Native Hawaiian groups who do not want to fall into the trap of being treated (mistreated, robbed, etc) like Native Americans. Hawaiians prefer to hang onto their own land and their own money.
