Three months, 88 articles and seeds, 8 eliminations, countless debates (some more heated than others), several new groups, a handful of new(sviners) and nine challenges later: The first season of Newsvine Survivor is finally at an end.
I'd like to thank...

Just a reminder. Voting will occur here throughout the day.

WESTMINSTER, MD–As young Hollywood and politicians get more involved with environmental awareness, the movement is having a trickle-down effect at the state and local levels.

Irving, Texas, August 20th – Former Super Bowl star running back and All-Pro, Daryl "The Moose" Johnston lended his support to the cause of other ex-NFL stars who are not being paid their pensions or disability from the NFL or the teams they played for after obtaining life …

Long, long ago in a place not so very far away (but rather hard to get to now) I published an article entitled Taboos and Societal Evolution, in which I set out to explore as many cultural taboos as we could collectively get our hands on.

While I was piecing together my recent interview of Jimmy Lesondak, a Newsvine oddity struck me: there's no viable group dedicated to general discussion of music.

Last week, I wrote an article suggesting ways to further incorporate Citizen Journalism into Newsvine. This week, I begin to develop some of my group suggestions. The first is this: The Protest Chronicles.

For those of you who don't know me (believe me, there are a lot), I am relatively new to NewsVine. I am a Vine-Virgin! The near 40 Year Old Vine-Virgin, if you will.

For the fifth challenge, contestants were asked to review a current book, movie or album.

Continuing on with the quest to find the most bad-ass Good Guy, I naturally turned my attention to the only female superhero to give Batman and Superman a run for their money in the historic ranks of comic history, Wonder Woman.

Clearly the best thing Britt Daniel ever did was to appear on Veronica Mars.

Heroes, NBC's supernatural breakout hit, took the airwaves by storm this past year.

Many people unwittingly became fans of Zeigeist (just the one 't', thank you!) when someone, somewhere, probably in Sweden, stuck a track onto a leaked copy of The Knife's Silent Shout called 'F As In Knife'.
