The US equity market continues to be very strong in spite of sharp declines in the major averages on Friday. Our market safety index for Friday was at 326, which is near the all-time high of 327 reached after Monday of last week.
Friday the major US equity averages finished mixed to flat, which is good for a Friday. Fortunately, HRSH climbed another 7 1/2% to offset losses of less than 3% in SIM and OMG.
Although US equity market averages fell on Tuesday, our market safety index rose again to another all-time high of 301 for Wednesday. Since Monday's posting, the following stocks have joined or rejoined the list above: LDF, CCF, UTG, EGLE, and KSW.
Thursday was another phenomenal day in US equity markets. The Dow Jones Industrial average closed at yet another all-time high, and our market safety index for Friday stands at 275, which is the highest value ever attained since the inception of that index several years ago.
