A collector believes a photograph from a private album of Civil War Gen. Ulysses S. Grant shows President Abraham Lincoln in front of the White House and could be the last image taken of him before he was assassinated in 1865.

The New York Times ran a lengthy correction Wednesday after the newspaper learned that a recent front-page photo of a crying Zimbabwean baby with casts on his feet misrepresented the boy's injuries.

1888 Photo Depicts Helen Keller, Teacher

Researchers have uncovered a rare photograph of a young Helen Keller with her teacher Anne Sullivan, nearly 120 years after it was taken on Cape Cod. The photograph, shot in July 1888 in Brewster, shows an 8-year-old Helen sitting outside in a light-colored dress, holding Sullivan's hand and cradling one of her beloved dolls.
