1. Cayenne, The Beatles, Anthology (Disc 1)-- From April 1960, the Beatles before they hit it big.
Playlist shows why Susan Boyle's CD will top the chartsSource: Irish Central
"Amazing Grace" is another song that is perfectly suited to Susan's pitch. Her forte, in my opinion, is belting out with that great big voice one of the great anthems of our time. "Amazing Grace," with its mystical, ethereal quality, is a perfect fit.
Susan Boyle's debut album details Source: Jam
It's been awhile since I posted something on the YouTube phenom Susan Boyle. But now she has definitely recorded her album and the release date is set for Nov. 24 -- just in time for holiday shopping. The full playlist is given here and some description of the songs.

1. Love Supreme by The Flower Kings from Adam & Eve -- One of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. The Flower Kings has been one of those bands keeping prog music alive and well through its third wave.

1. "Black Milk" by Massive Attack on the album Mezzanine: Massive Attack's third album was a success internationally, but peaked at only number 60 in the US. You'll know these guys as the group which created the opening music to the TV show House.

"Fighting in a Sack", The Shins, Chutes Too Narrow: pop-sounding tune from the follow up to their debut album, Oh, Inverted World. Kind of sounds like The Cure gets psychotherapy and serotonin re-uptake inhibitors.

My eclectic Christmas music list is an unusual mix of Motown, early music, crooners, rock and novelty tunes. Maybe you will find something you would like to look up for yourself.
For Muddled Youth, Music to Live BySource: The New York Times
I love the lead of this review and how it compared the youth of today to that of the "full-adolescent display of a facebook page". This movie is basically what teenagers are all about--with such effervescence and bubbly youth.
Obama's iPod Playlist: As diverse as the man himselfSource: Newsday.com
The Democratic nominee's playlist is a blend of many types of music, much like the owner of the device. This man cannot be summarily pigeonholed.
It would be interesting to compare Obama's playlist to that of McCain.

If there's one thing that defines hipsterism, it's irony - and the mashup is fertile ground for irony. Since this is a hip(ster)-hop mix, I tried to distill the oddest, funniest, and most unexpected tracks from the irony-fest that is The Hood Internet.

It's that time of year again. The weather is (getting) warm, the sun is (occasionally) out, and spring is (kind of) in the air. Though here in New York it's taking a bit to shake off the last bits of an admittedly mild winter, signs are pointing to brighter season ahead.
New halloween playlist for halo 3 matchmaking?Source: bungie.net
Our multiplayer design teams are hard at work on a couple of things. One of them is a fun, seasonal addition to the matchmaking playlist which should keep you entertained for about 27 hours around Halloween.

I'll often find myself throwing my iPod on, sitting back, and just listening to some Rilo Kiley or The New Pornographers and just imagine that Jenny Lewis or Neko Case was singing just to me right in my ear.
The Graduation MixSource: freeindie.com
As the first official first day of summer approaches, many of us face the excitement and anxiety of some sort of graduation. Whether it be from college, high school or a job, graduation is a bitter sweet time in which we face some sort of change in our lives.

Yes, it's one of those weeks. The days are long, the moon is bright and full, and your significant other is holed up in a cubicle on the other side of town trying desperately to beat the clock on a project that's past deadline.
