
I have finally deceided that it is time for me to depart Newsvine. My other online work and businesses now have to take priority, so it is with a heavy heart and after much deliberation that I have reached this decision to end my Newsvine Column at the end of this month.

Regardless, it was not threats that pushed Cohen off the air. It was the loss of his advertiser base. Had brands such as Heineken merely shrugged at what Cohen was saying, the emails he received would have made no difference. But the advertisers sided with the fans.

Today, as you will know, on average every person in the UK spends approaching half their waking hours using communication tools like PCs, laptops, mobiles, TVs, radios, iPods and other digital devices.

Most of the time when I'm driving around I curse the slow traffic lights, stuck on red for what feels like aeons, and the half asleep drivers who take ages to get going when the lights eventually turn green. Which makes me no different to most drivers.
