MY CHRISTMAS POEM
Twas two days before Christmas,
And I gather the gifts,
I had to wrap all,
And I had to move quick.
I grabbed all the tape,
The boxes and bows,
Ran to my room,
But then stubbed my toe.
I yelped and hopped,
And jumped down the hall,

DAY DAWNERS
Awake day dawners,
you sleepy yawners!
A new day dawns,
life's chasm yawns!

Como de una hibernacion,
Totalmente una liberacion,
Historias de passion y seducciones,
Effectuadas sin presiones.
Culminacion inesperada,
Libertad atrapada,
Sentimientos profundos desambilicados,
Suenos y planes rapidos cancelados.

Daylight Source: Jasmin's Heart
A poem about daylight.

I rarely have intro for my pieces but I wrote this one back in 2003 about a mountain tribe indigenous to the Cordillera mountain range of North Luzon in the Philippines.

Few believe me when I tell them about you
but then I couldn't believe you either.
Now I relive the grace in your gestures sparely,
like the comfort of gauzy curtains cradled
by the gentlest breeze floating above me that
with a quiet sigh fall upon my face.

I Wait In The House of Mourning

He walks with me,
I in the sun, he in shadow
pearly sparks thrown
intentioned into the path I choose
my humanity is out of style
He resolves it for me
renders my adversity
impotent, yet still a tool.

SONNET IN BEE FLAT
There must be a place (but I've yet to find one)
beneath the Sol-drawn dawn of autumn skies
where cut-throat trout still find the heart to run
and the fullness of Summer's life never dies.

EQUINOX FOX
Vernon the aqua fox,
swim fast 'ere Summer's fall;
wade wide-streamed Autumn's lull.
Your rust red coat and socks
of white will fade at snowfall's call
and, hunting just to keep kits full,
at moon you'll howl and nip but fail
at Winter's icy onslought gale.

SEA KING
The sea.
The sea...
In my reverie,
I seek my tea.

No one, only each other can hurt the other,
Related by siblings, mother and father,
Hug of love, each time one another sees,
Warring latter the hugs like a mortal enemies.

Wishing, hoping, dreaming of one,
Endlessly searching to not be alone,
Excess of feeling rush in for the one,
Never would unwavering love be done.

Blood like ice, and nerves of steel,
Who's to say how a man will feel?
When the first time comes for the use of a gun,
But, it's not like the movies. Killing's not fun.
So, you wish to God that it wasn't for real.
That's blood like ice, and nerves of steel.

From deep within is the rumble,
Thinking off letting it out, great gamble,
Molten steel coursing through every orifice,
But just to act is not suffice.

BY CYCLES FALL
Neaped by a circadian moon,
I'd reached for you in spring tide love,
you who under sighed lonely loon
and rose on drafts yon turtle dove.
So, my wide and dark Canadian sky,
I who lack June's lunar stare,
shall wither here upon this vine.

Ode to a Warrior
Who gave us the Respite of Peace
The years pass to life's end
As it must for us all
Sky Light softly changing to evening's last glow
Star light fades to midnight velvet black

STALK MUSINGS
I ended up a stalk one night.
A stalk of beans you see
How I did, I do not know
Unless of course in dreams.
Stalked by beans? Beyond their means.
By harps that sing and talk?
The best of beans you see
Can talk to thee in dreams it seems.

HALF MOON (Short Version)

There's only one man to beat,
Can the QB take the heat?
What goes through your mind, Gilbie,
When a Raider's clear to catch the ball
And no one's stopping Cassel as the
Chiefs' back is to the wall.
You the man, Gilbie, you the man.
There's a time to step up, you the man.
What go …
