Casual publisher and developer PopCap Games has released a statement announcing the Acquisition of the casual game portal and developer SpinTop Games.

According to a recent study commissioned by PopCap Games, one of the most popular casual gaming portals, casual games are being played by three times as many female gamers as male. PopCap's user base is 76% percent female and 24% male.

Unlike some of PopCap's game releases, Peggle stands by itself as a freshly unique game design with a large set of puzzle content.
