Qimonda set for euro325 million bailout

Troubled memory-chip maker Qimonda AG on Sunday secured a rescue package of euro325 million ($452 million) in loans from a German regional government, parent company Infineon and a Portuguese state bank.

German memory-chip maker Qimonda AG is cutting 3,000 jobs and selling its stake in Inotera — a joint venture with Taiwan's Nanya Technology Corp. — to Micron Technology Inc. for $400 million.

Chip Maker Infineon Reports Wider Loss

Computer chip maker Infineon Technologies AG said Wednesday that its fourth-quarter loss widened as revenue tumbled and its majority-owned chip memory making unit Qimonda AG struggled.
