Joe Leiberman who campaigned courageously for John McCain earned the job of caucusing with those who he aligned himself with during the presidential campaign.
Mich. Man Pleas Guilty to Molotov Cocktails at RNCSource:
The FBI became aware of DePalma's plans at the CrimeThinc Convergence near Waldo, Wis. During the event, DePalma told an FBI informant he planned to "make some bombs" and "blow up" things during the RNC in St. Paul.

When Mitt Romney gave his vitrolic rant at the Republican National Convention, I got more than a little upset. I wrote this article then and I think its time we remembered our history and reclaimed our heritage that would not have been possible without "liberals."

All around me, a million cops in their absurd post-9/11 space-combat get-ups stand guard as @!$%#s in papier-mache puppet heads scramble around for one last moment of network face time before the coverage goes dark.
Palin's appeal: Was Feminism Necessary?Source: Forbes
Was feminism necessary to produce Sarah Palin's fine performance at the Republican Convention? She is of course no heroine to radical feminists, who disliked everything she said, but could one rightly say--could they say--that she is indebted to their brand of feminism for the op …

Biden Can Throw a Punch....Source: Political Animal
I suspect some Democrats were starting to get at least a little worried about Joe Biden's praise for John McCain. The two have been friends for decades, and Biden has a tendency to tell crowds just how much he likes the Republican nominee.

A record 38.9 million U.S. TV viewers watched John McCain accept the Republican nomination for president on Thursday, slightly more than the 38.3 million people who tuned in for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's speech, Nielsen Media Research reported.

Joe Biden: McCainSource: my.barackobama.com
Joe Biden's response to the McCain speech.

John McCain hit a chord tonight and you cannot take that away from the old warrior. In spite of a few boisterous protesters who managed to penetrate the halls of the Republican convention, McCain came across as calm, in control and confident.

I'm an Obama supporter by I'm disgusted by the time-release protests designed to disrupt Sen. McCain's speech. The country has a right to hear -- and needs to hear -- what he has to say.
Sarah Palin SpeaksSource: ChristianPoliticalResponse.com
Sarah Palin addressed the Republican Convention last night and did what she needed to do. She delivered a strong message and introduced herself to the World.

"What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull," she said, pausing for a beat and a smirk. "Lipstick."

Drill, baby, drill. Sarah Palin was relentless in her speech Wednesday night. She drilled Barack Obama, elites, San Francisco, the press, and civil libertarians. She even went after Michelle Obama. And she did it all with a smile and a little mischief.

So far, I am not impressed (ok, fair enough, her far-right stances make it impossible for Sarah Palin to impress me). Her delivery is full on "I'm reading my lines" and sing-songy and her tone is that of a cheerleader. Palin does not sound competent to step in as president.

Someone named Gustav came knocking on the door, stuck his head in, looked around and then left. Since everyone felt the need to try and answer the door, Republicans were left with a short and dry first day of convention activities.

While watching Fred Thompson deliver his speech to the GOP convention this evening, I now know why he did not stand a chance in the primary. What a pile of lies and double-talk.
Early in his speech, Thompson proclaims:
