Universal has purchased David Guggenheim's spec Safe House for $600k against $900k, winning out against two other movie studios in a bidding war.

Apparently, only fundamentalist Bible-thumpers and bigoted ideologues are allowed to use the word "redemptive." This word is no longer to be included in a lexicon of terms suitable for discussing literary themes.
