'Studio 60' Picked Up for Season

The show will go on for "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," despite its failure to lure viewers. NBC said Thursday it has ordered an additional nine episodes of the backstage drama from "The West Wing" creator Aaron Sorkin for a full season's worth of shows, or 22 weeks.

I, like many other fans, have come to wonder what the fate of Aaron Sorkin's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" may be. I thought it was odd, rude, and unwise to put Studio 60 off for a week while another new series was debuted.

So much for all that cancellation talk. Just got word that NBC has given Aaron Sorkin's struggling Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip a full-season order. (That recent Lauren Graham cameo must've marked a turning point.)

I'm not exactly sure what signing this online petition to save Aaron Sorkin's endangered 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip' can accomplish, especially given NBC's recent cost cutting, but it certainly never hurts to try if you're a fan of the show.
