That included lengthy negotiations with the automakers, unions, auto dealers, parts suppliers, retiree groups, creditors and potential buyers. Under a plan brokered by the task force, Chrysler filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy at the end of April. GM is expected to do the same as early as this weekend.
