The Irony of It: I have to pay taxes to another government even when i don't pay to my own

I'm saddened by the fact that I would have give up quite a big chunk of my Newsvine earnings. A 30% tax is absolutely outrageous, it's just too much. They say I'll be able to 'redeem' it from the US Government but I see nothing that would make me believe that.
