Its amazing to watch the progression in technology when you watch the music videos from the 1980's. In the early 80's, around 1980 when MTV first started the production value was extremely low and within a matter of 3 years you see a vast improvement in video quality.

Ah, yes, the seventies. When music, especially punk music, was at its finest. And why was it at its finest, you ask? Ironically, it was due to the British economic depression. Starting in 1975, Britain produced some of the finest punk music ever to be made.

For some time now the one-line description of myself has read "The future is unwritten" (top left of the page, next to my avatar). I have received a few positive comments about it so I have left it unchanged.

It has been decided. The nominees were appointed, they then broken down into the Final 32, then voted on. Now, the top 10 have been decided. I have to admit, it starts with twists and turns, but then levels out.

The early 1980s was an amazing time for music. The excesses of the stadium rock movement were finally bringing that bloated dinosaur to a doddering end, and the roughest edges of the punk explosion of '76-'79 had been abraded away by the twin influences of record sales and fame.
