Spontaneous gatherings to Michael Jackson popped up all over the globe following news of the pop icon's sudden death on Thursday.

People may look at my headline and shake their heads, as they think the, "race card", is being played again, but they should read what my reasoning is for it. My article is not so much about condemnation (although there is no excuse for racism) as it is explanation.

I love many of his songs because most have been such big hits, especially Thriller, whose video i've seen tens of times. But choosing my top favourite is an easy task for me.
