Downey Jr. makes a convincing Iron Man while Paltrow's "Potts" carries the movie.

Robert Downey, Jr. was an excellent choice to play Tony Stark. Downey's performance seems almost second nature to him, making his portrayal of a young, mega-billionaire, super genius, with little focus in his life until he is captured, then becomes Iron Man.
