Fun at the Market

I am one of the odd folks who enjoy the weekly or so trip to the market to food shop. I attribute this to a love of cooking and food as well as having what has to be the most fun market in the world as my "corner store"--Trader Joe's.

We love garlic and use it in just about every savory dish we make. We also cook in mass quantities and I always dread peeling the garlic. I hate it when my fingers get sticky from the garlic juice and the skins stick to my finger. It's not a difficult task. It's just mundane.

Despite my clever standard shopping list, I forget something every time I go to Trader Joe's. Yesterday it was cream for the gratin dauphinois I'm making tomorrow. This was doubly silly because I was actually looking at the cream section and noticing something funny.
