I don't know that it was always this way, but, for as long as I can remember, just as we move into the final weeks of the Presidential campaign the focus shifts to the undecided voters. "Who are they?" the news anchors ask.

I was watching The View today. Yeah, I know. Anyway, Shelley Sheppard commented that she was still not sure whom she would be voting for next week. It got me thinking. I see the polls on CNN and other news outlets saying that there is still 7-10% "undecided".
Why the New Virginia is Leaning Toward ObamaSource: TIME
Once a solid Red state, Virginia has become an important state for both candidates. McCain has been so busy campaigning in other states that he has basically forgotten this state. Now that his campaign is running low on funds, he finally starts to campaign there.

Staunch Democrats and staunch Republicans rarely change candidates in
mid-election. Although Obama may be showing a substantial lead today, the Country is still split with a large chunk of the population still sitting on the fence.

Sarah Palin, though unpopular on NV and in the MSM, did what she had to do in last night's debate -- convinced undecided voters that she is qualified for the vice-presidency. She powered her way up the learning curve in 5 weeks while keeping an exhausting campaign schedule.

Now that we that we now have 2 of 4 debates behind us, and we are a month away from the election, we Decideds are still pretty clueless about what The Undecided Vote is thinking! You guys are sort of a big deal now, because you're going to be the ones who actually do decide this …

During the course of the debate, CNN was running a viewer response line for uncommitted voters in Ohio. Overall the numbers reflected a very strong performance for Biden.

Staunch Democrats and staunch Republicans rarely change candidates in mid-election. Although Obama may be showing a slight lead today, the Country is still divided pretty much right down the middle.

"You're sick of politics as usual and just want results. Should you pick Obama or McCain?"
In a reasoned, respectful tone, this letter gives independents/undecideds food for thought on why to vote for Obama.
Obama Should Just Be HimselfSource: Wall Street Journal
that's why I am convinced that Mr. Obama does not need to fundamentally change his message or strategy to win over the undecideds (though a few of the refinements being suggested would be helpful). He mostly just needs to be himself -- or to be more precise, to be more of himself.

Hospital volunteer Sally Kessler, 74, disagreed.

Impeach Bush, that's what I keep hearing these days. It's seems to be the war cry on the left. Truth is I don't care. I am so sick of hearing this B.S. I would gladly just let them have their way just to not here about this.
