Amazingly, someone sitting in Oklahoma has analyzed the Copenhagen youth anarchist vs Christian fundamentalists situation correctly. Even predicted some of the recently revealed reasons for the apparent irrational behavior of the sect.

In the opening speech the leader of the fundamentalists Copenhagen unit declared war on homosexuality, incest and abortion. The religious group has gained it's foothold by outing a feminist-vegetarian youth group.

Police were prepared when around 150 demonstrators assembled near the Danish Embassy in Oslo Thursday, and they were bracing for more protests this weekend.

The 2nd of March saw a lot of activity in sympathy of Ungdomshuset, the squat that got raided by police yesterday. A meeting to arrange more demonstrations and manifestations was held in a house holding 500 people but hundreds were unable to get in and had to wait outside.

7 in the morning people call me: police are asking people to remove their cars from streets near Ungdomshuset in megaphones. By the time I made it there the police had conquered the house. 10 officers attacked from air using a helicopter.

It's business as usual at Ungdomshuset: Outside the parent group stand "guard", inside the place is packed. On stage a bunch of amateurs are ready to rip your musical ideas in pieces.

I had to log off Newsvine today because a) I was running out of coffee and b) I read a crazy news report about stuff in my neighborhood and felt like checking it out.

During the last months an ongoing battle has made quite a stir in Copenhagen, the otherwise peaceful and orderly capital of Denmark.
