The year of the Linux desktop has finally come! Really, this time. At least, that's what Jim Zemlin, executive director of the Linux Foundation, says.
Give me a break.
Read the article. Not one of the arguments is bound to this year. No concrete dates, no concrete events.

Ubuntu 7.04 Arrives ThursdaySource: -
For Linux business users, the most important Linux release of 2007 so far is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. But for most other Linux fans, the upcoming release of Ubuntu Version 7.04 on April 19 demands more attention.

So it's been a week or so since I installed xubuntu on my laptop. I haven't been using it much at school because there isn't any wi-fi near (except on campus, and that's another project entirely) and switching between having my desktop and my laptop online is kinda annoying.

Well it's March and that means, for me at least, spring break. Ah the joys of going home and spending a week without my baby. That is to say, my custom built kickass computer. It's just too much to try and pack up and cart home for only a week.

I am a first-year high school English teacher, and I was looking to get computers in my room so I could have a writing lab.
