— “Twilight’s” main man, Robert Pattinson, may have finally figured out a way to keep the crowds of teenage girls at bay. Sure, they may be drawn to his good looks, but the actor’s admitted dirty laundry and hygiene habits could send them running the other way.
“These jeans are a few days old, but the top is probably fresh because it gets to the point where even I can’t stand the air around me,” Pattinson confessed to New! magazine. “I don’t know, my personal hygiene — it’s so disgusting! Really it’s just that I have very few clothes that I like and I’m travelling all the time, so I can’t really get any more.”
This isn’t the first time the Edward Cullen’s off-screen alter ego has come clean about his dirty habits. Earlier this year, when a round of stinky stories about the star first hit the rumor mill, Pattinson confessed that his poor hygiene was even the secret behind his trademark hairstyle.
“It's the funniest thing,” the 23-year-old began. “I have so much residue crap in my hair from years and years and years of not washing it and not having any sense of personal hygiene whatsoever. Even today, I go into these things where I'm supposed to be this sexy guy or whatever, and I'm literally asking (the studio rep) ‘If I get plumes of dandruff on me, can you just brush it off?’”
Pageant director: Prejean has ‘opportunistic agenda’
While former Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean, multitasks scandal quashing and book promotion duties this week, Miss USA pageant director Keith Lewis can’t seem to put down his copy of “Still Standing.” According to Lewis, Prejean’s text is full of falsehoods aimed to boost her “opportunistic agenda.”
“I work in pageants and I love a good fairy tale like anyone else,” Lewis explained to Radar Online. “Unfortunately (“Still Standing”) is not one. This one doesn’t have a message.”
At least not a message Lewis likes. In the book, Prejean accused him of pressuring her into having an all-expenses paid breast augmentation. Lewis considers that an “incorrect, derogatory” claim with a purpose.
“Carrie's fanciful memory is little more than her trying to propagate her opportunistic agenda,” Lewis said.
Rourke’s dogs never let him down
Man’s best friend, or rather a pack of friends in the form of several chihuahuas, helped Mickey Rourke get through his darkest days.
“I lost everything at the same time — my wife, my career, my house, my credibility — and all I had left (were) the dogs plus just two or three people who stuck with me,” Rourke recalled in an interview with the Daily Mail’s Live Mag. “I was living under the mat — being known and then being known for being out of work, for having fallen from grace. You go and buy a pack of smokes and people say, ‘Hey, didn’t you used to be that actor?’ So it was a very shameful place, and the dogs were my friends.”
That’s the sort of loyalty the actor doesn’t really expect from his human pals.
“A lot of people you meet out there turn their backs on you once you’re down,” Rourke added. “But the dogs don’t.”
Dish on the fly
Despite back surgery, a recent knee replacement, and a shiny titanium hip, screen legend Jane Fonda insists sex is better as a senior. “I'm 71 and physically don't feel so good since I'm in pain,” the “Barbarella” star told Germany’s Bild. “But I'm happier, the sex is better and I understand life better. I don't want to be young again.” … It seems one set of implants just isn’t enough for the new and improved Amy Winehouse. Pleased with her brand new breasts, the singer is now said to be eager to put another nip-tuck behind her. “Amy loves her boobs,” a source told U.K. tabloid The Sun. “She says she feels womanly again and wants to be more curvy like she used to be. She thinks by having another op and (butt) implants that she will achieve her dream pin-up look.” ... Former “Baywatch” babe Pamela Anderson still looks picture perfect — in the right light. According to a report in the New York Post, Anderson’s manager, Peter Asher, banned any photographers unwilling to equip their cameras with face-flattering “ring flashes” from shooting the 42-year-old blonde bombshell while she hosted last Saturday’s 15th Annual Make-A-Wish Ball. “In-house photographers were told to use the ring light,” a representative from Make-A-Wish confirmed, “but our red carpet was issue-free.”
